but instead I am art journaling. Once I sit down at my desk I can’t seem to get up and go do boring chores. It feels good to create, just for the joy of it.
My daydreams almost always revolve around travel. I want to go so many places!
As I have shared before, I am participating in an art journal swap. There are five of us women in all; myself from the USA, one from UK, one from Poland, and two from Russia. These two spreads are now in Margaret’s journal, it’s ready to head to Irina in Russia for her additions. Thanks for looking an as always I welcome feedback and ideas!
Well, one day last week I was having a very rare moment of negative emotions…rather than continue to be ugly too someone I love I decided to make these two pages.
Then you also see a spread I did inspired by a wonderful date night with my honey. It couldn’t have been better…weather was PERFECT, sat by the World’s Fair Pavilion fountain and had a delicious picnic and wine. Then we went on to enjoy a delightful evening at The Muny. West Side Story has always been a fave!
So…it has been said that I attract all things-human and furry-within a 100 mile radius, that are injured or lost. This weekend was no exception. I surrender…it’s who I am…I can’t change it…and wouldn’t want to.
These pages in my “me me me” journal were inspired by this weekend’s events.
PS this is the reason people should keep their dogs leashed or in their own yards…some of us really, really like the wildlife in our own yards.
As I said before I usually just make things for other people, swaps, gifts, for fun etc. This art journal is all about me, just for me. I am tickled by these spray dye inks! They are so much fun!!! I also love the images I cut out of the MO Conservation magazine.
I love ATC swaps on craftster.org ….. this one is for the theme “from the kisstheguy.com website”. It’s all misheard lyrics…this was misheard from Baby Got Back. lol
I often don’t do things just for me. I suppose that’s not completely true, I swap ATC’s because I enjoy it, I am doing an art journal swap that I enjoy but I rarely make things to keep so I can look and enjoy my own work. This is the first page in my very own art journal, my first one.
It is small and I LOVE it. I bought a small travel journal at a thrift store and I thought it would make a great art journal. It’s 5 1/2 by 2 3/4 inches.
Also I just bought a couple of spray inks/paints and they are so much fun!!
Sorry about the flash in the photo, the flash pic shows the colors best so I kept it.
